It’s hard to believe that it’s been over 10 years since I began the Civil War 150th blog, before Discerning History even existed. But it has been and now we are in the midst of the 160th anniversary of the War Between the States. We just passed the 150th anniversary of the First Battle of Bull Run. If you are interested, the old blog is still up, where I blogged all (or most) of the major events of the war as they happened, 150 years later. You could start with my most popular post by far, thanks to the mysterious Google search algorithm, Lincoln Offers Lee the Command or perhaps the First Battle of Bull Run.
