On Bradford’s Trail: Crossing to the Netherlands

This is the start of a series of post from a second research trip to Europe. This time we flew into England, and took a ferry over to the Netherlands, roughly traversing the same route that the Pilgrims took when fleeing to the continent. We were there for a week, but at my rate of posting, I will probably be putting up photos for months…..

Yours truly onboard
At dock on the Humbar Tidal Estuary
Within sight of the Netherlands
We were there in tulip season, so had to get some classic Dutch vacation photos
Muiderslot Castle is a beautiful place without a direct connection to the Pilgrims, though it was restored in the same era
