Top 10 Most Important Archaeology Discoveries of 2020

In an encouraging post to end 2020, LiveScience brings us 10 archaeological discoveries from the past year. Some of these are truly historic. My favorites are the Tomb of Romulus, a huge ancient drawing of a cat (one of the Nazca lines in Peru,) and a building in Russia made of mammoth bones. Catch the entire list here.

Also, I’ll add one bonus one from the Archaeology.org, the largest Mayan temple ever discovered. They have their own top 10 list, mostly unique from the other.
