North Carolina Tour 2017

Lutherstadt Wittenberg
Tryon Palace

Join us on the 2017 North Carolina History tour this September. We will explore the rich history of the Tarheel State, visiting colonial houses, Revolutionary and Civil War battlefields, and plantations. We will visit forts from the French-Indian War through the Civil War, and enjoy the beauty of the Blue Ridge foothills. We will learn the rich cultural heritage of the earliest settlers pushing west, as well as walking the streets of Old Salem. We will discover the religious ties between the Waldensians who fled religious persecution in Italy and the Moravians who settled in Old Salem. Hear about the mysterious Lost Colony of Roanoke, see the earliest English fort in America, walk in the first governor’s palace, and feel the winds where the Wright Brothers had their first flight.
